Here is my first commission for someone almost ready to go out in the post (other than the care card and spare crystals….).
My lovely friend Jules, aka Shanty Tramp (she makes fabulous custom portrait brooches, among a whole range of other stuff – www.facebook.com/shantytramp) was after a pair of polly style heels, and I had a spare pair in her size, and she asked for them to be customised with gold crystals. I used Swarovski Jonquil which is a lovely gold shade.
I also changed some of the crystals on the front starburst from Clear to Jonquil so they fitted in with the rest of the shoe a bit more. The clear crystals just looked wrong. I’m far happier with them like this. And I hope to God she likes them and that they fit her!
And after going home at lunchtime to cover the shoe box in red tissue paper (I’m a sucker for detail), I had to rush back to work and left my living room looking like this!! The place is a mess full stop seeing as my Dad has been on holiday the last two weeks. :-O
